Link Torrent Catcher does not collect, transmit, store on remote servers, or share any personal data. Everything stays in your browser.

What we process

The extension processes the following data, all stored locally in your browser:

All of this is stored in chrome.storage.local. It is not sent anywhere by the extension.

What we do not collect

Optional sync

If you enable Sync settings across devices in Options, your settings (not your link history or statistics) are stored using your browser's built-in sync mechanism (Chrome Sync / Firefox Sync). This data goes to your browser-vendor account (Google or Mozilla), governed by their respective privacy policies. The developer of Link Torrent Catcher never receives this data.

Permissions used

Third parties

Link Torrent Catcher does not include any third-party SDK, tracker, analytics, or advertising library.

When you click a search-engine option in the popup (e.g., Google, Internet Archive, Academic Torrents), a new tab opens to that third-party website. After that, the third party is governed by its own privacy policy — Link Torrent Catcher has no further involvement.

When you click "Open" on a link, the URL is handed to your installed torrent client (qBittorrent, Transmission, Deluge, etc.). What that client does with the URL is governed by its own privacy policy.

Data retention and deletion

Children

Link Torrent Catcher is a general-purpose tool. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Any changes will be reflected in the version published with each new release of the extension.
